High Wycombe young entrepreneur finalist annouced
Chartered Accountants Haines Watts are delighted to announce that Carly Ward, owner of the Young Entrepreneur Society, has won the local finals of the Haines Watts Young Entrepreneur Award 2010 competition, to represent the High Wycombe area in the finals.
The Young Entrepreneur Society in Bucks is a social enterprise company helping young people learn entrepreneurial and personal development skills and offers a training programme for under 35s who want to set up a business.
Carly recently presented to Colin Fletcher, Partner at Haines Watts in High Wycombe, for the local finals.
Colin said: “The entries for the competition have been of a very high standard and the local finalists have demonstrated true entrepreneurial spirit, with focus, dedication to the work ethic and business vision, coupled with masses of energy and a real can-do attitude. Carly stood out, with a compelling business concept and plan for the future, alongside these other qualities.”
Carly wins £250 prize money, as well as a year-long mentoring programme with one of the Haines Watts’ partners. All entries to the competition automatically received free membership of Nigel Botterill’s Entrepreneur’s Circle. Nigel is a serial entrepreneur and founder of the highly successful national “Bestof” online business directory.
Colin Fletcher adds, “Haines Watts launched the Young Entrepreneur competition in the spring to seek out those who have outstanding business talent in the Thames Valley area. Our support comes at a particularly difficult time for young people – and for business – as spending cuts make it tough to get work or to get the funding needed for business growth. We wish all our candidates every success in their endeavours.”
